Features: Tao Xingzhi was a great social reformer and a pioneer in promoting modernization in China in the 20th century. He adhered to the idea of living education that keeps pace with the times to drive continuous modernization. He loved the people, devoted himself wholeheartedly, used both hands and brains, and was bold in innovation. His contributions and achievements for the motherland and humanity were multifaceted. From the Complete Works, it can be seen that he covered a wide range of fields, such as political systems, economic development, social ethics, international exchanges, science popularization, ethnic unity, religious beliefs, the promotion of new characters, environmental protection, and family planning, all of which he discussed incisively. Tao Xingzhi was also a great people's poet, and his popularization of poetry "pioneered a new trend." The Complete Works includes over 800 of his poems, though not all have been collected. Of course, what stands out most is the life education theory he founded. The well-known concepts of "life is education," "society is a school," and "teaching, learning, and doing in unison," as well as the universal education, lifelong education, creative education, and democratic education he advocated, along with his lofty teacherly virtues, are so closely aligned with the reality and future direction of our country. The Complete Works of Tao Xingzhi consists of 12 volumes. Volumes 1 to 4 are [Writings]; Volume 5 is [Textbooks]; Volume 6 is [English Writings and Translations]; Volume 7 is [Poetry]; Volume 8 is [Letters]; Volume 9 is [Index of Letter Writers]; Volume 10 is divided into [Administrative Memoranda, Part 1 and Part 2]; Volumes 11 and 12 are [Supplements I and II]. This volume includes one self-edited book by the author, Manual of the Talent-Nurturing School (14 articles, including prose and poetry), and 167 out-of-print writings from May 1936 to July 1946, totaling 181 articles.
