Generally, it is not the case. For women with a regular menstrual cycle, you calculate when their next period will come, and then subtract 14 days from the first day of the next period. This day is the ovulation day. If a woman's menstrual cycle is 28 days, her ovulation day should be around the 14th day of the cycle; if her menstrual cycle is 40 days, her ovulation day should be around the 26th day of the cycle (i.e., about 14 days before the next period). The dates outside the risky period are considered the safe period. However, it is only less risky and there is still a possibility of pregnancy.
