What is not very obvious in the test strip below

Patient's question:

My last menstrual period was on September 25th, and it has been over 10 days since then. When I tested with a test strip, the line in the lower part wasn't very clear, and I'm very worried. Is this situation normal?
Also, I keep having stomach pain, and I don't know if it's normal!

Doctor's answer:

A weak positive result is not diagnostic. It can generally appear positive or even strong positive in the days before or after menstruation, due to hormonal reasons. Therefore, a weak positive result on an early pregnancy test does not necessarily mean pregnancy. It is best to have a blood HCG test at the hospital to confirm whether you are pregnant.
If your menstrual cycle is regular, you have had normal sexual activity, have not taken any contraceptive measures, and your period is delayed, and the early pregnancy test shows a positive result, the likelihood of pregnancy is very high. A menstrual cycle delay of about one week is still within the normal range.
In your case, if you are concerned about pregnancy, you can closely monitor your situation. If your period is delayed by more than one week, it is recommended to visit a regular hospital gynecology department for blood HCG and ultrasound examinations to confirm whether you are pregnant.
