Features: This dictionary is designed for primary and secondary school students, language teachers in primary and secondary schools, secretaries, writing workers, and those who are learning to write. The dictionary includes 1,000 sets of synonyms, including 40 sets of synonymous idioms, with a total of 2,500 entries. The basic scope of word selection is based on the national standard primary school Chinese textbooks, junior high school Chinese textbooks, and senior high school Chinese textbooks. All synonyms appearing in the textbooks are included as a principle. On this basis, the scope is appropriately expanded to select some words that appear in newspapers and magazines. In each set of synonyms, only commonly used words are included, while rarely used words are generally excluded. Only modern Chinese words are included, excluding ancient Chinese and dialect words. Example sentences are preferably written directly in Chinese, not selected from translated works. The selection and differentiation of words in this dictionary are based on word meaning as a unit, not on individual words. For each set of synonyms, the dictionary first identifies the common part of speech and notes the common meaning, then differentiates the differences of each word one by one. The scope of differentiation includes the implied meaning, the focus of expression, the weight of meaning, the emotional tone, the scope of use, the collocation, the grammatical function, and the appropriate style of language. The focus is on differentiating the differences of each synonym.
