1. Golden Mirror of Famous Physicians in Ancient and Modern Times for Clinical Practice, aims to select experiences from ancient and modern clinicians in traditional Chinese medicine that are beneficial for clinical practice, serving as references. Following this standard, the selection of ancient literature primarily focuses on the Ming and Qing dynasties.
2. Organization Structure: Each volume begins with ancient literature, followed by modern works (authors still living in 1949 are included as modern physicians). Below this, diseases are listed, with the experiences of various experts presented. Ancient physicians are generally arranged by birth and death dates. Under each disease, systematic discussions are placed first, followed by medical conversations and case studies. Occasionally, some theoretical discussions are moved to the front if their content is not suitable to be placed later. The experiences of experts under each disease are mostly presented in a single article. In cases where several experts cannot be covered in one article, they are not merged.
3. The physicians included in each volume are renowned experts, and introductions are provided for them. Occasionally, some experts whose birth and death dates are unknown are unfortunately omitted.
4. Sources of literature and compilers are listed at the end of the text. Those not listed as compilers are either self-authored by the elderly or the provided materials did not include such information, or there were omissions. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
5. Ancient literature is preserved in its original form, with minor adjustments made to clarify unclear structures. Some ancient texts are excerpts from the original works, focusing on practicality to avoid repetition and highlight key points.
6. Ancient literature adheres to traditional units of measurement, while modern works use legal units. This dual system is used for practical reasons.
7. The prescriptions of physicians each have their own characteristics. While efforts are made to standardize drug names, preserving the original style is prioritized to avoid disrupting the original style.
8. Some elderly scholars were invited to revise or reorganize the articles to highlight key points, making the main ideas clear and fresh. In cases where the content was disorganized, it was restructured to clarify the essence, like cutting leaves to reveal flowers, or clearing clouds to reveal the moon.
