Features: The motherland has a long and profound history. Ancient sages like Qi Huang and Shennong were the pioneers of medicine; Han Dynasty's Zhang Zhongjing and Hua Tuo were revered as the sages of medicine. Throughout the long river of the development of traditional Chinese medicine, numerous clinical masters have emerged, promoting the rapid growth of traditional Chinese medicine. In line with the spirit of inheriting and promoting the motherland's medical heritage, with inheritance not rigidly adhering to ancient traditions and promotion not deviating from its essence, China National Press of TCM, after completing the publication of The Great Collection of Ming and Qing Dynasty Medical Masters, has planned the Series of 100 Famous TCM Clinical Masters in China. This series aims to reflect the development of traditional Chinese medicine in the modern era, especially since the founding of the People's Republic of China 50 years ago. We invited Minister Zhang Wenkang of the Ministry of Health to serve as the chief editor of this series, with Deputy Minister of Health and Director of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy She Jing and Deputy Director of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy Li Zhenji serving as deputy editors. They readily agreed and personally organized hundreds of TCM experts to compile the series. After years of effort, the series was finally officially launched at the beginning of the 21st century. The series plans to publish around 140 volumes, featuring TCM masters who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in clinical practice, enjoy high prestige nationwide, and possess profound academic expertise. These include representative figures from various specialties such as internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acupuncture. We believe that the Series of 100 Famous TCM Clinical Masters in China will be favored by in medical workers, and will play a significant role in advancing the development of TCM. At the same time, by summarizing the experiences of over 100 TCM clinical masters, the development of TCM over the past century will be clearly presented before the public. Therefore, this series not only holds high clinical and academic value but also unprecedented documentary value, which is the sincere motivation behind organizing and compiling this series.
