Features: The Mineral Volume of the "China Natural Resources Series" was initiated by the State Planning Commission's Land and Regional Division, with contributions from researchers at the China Mining Association, relevant departments of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, and the China Geological and Mineral Resources Information Research Institute. This volume aims to reflect the current state of China's mineral resources, explore strategies for their rational development and protection, and serve as a reference for government departments involved in planning and guiding development, as well as for researchers, educators, and readers interested in understanding China's national conditions. The first chapter is an introduction, while the second and third chapters briefly review the history and significant achievements of China's mineral geological exploration, development, and resource management since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Based on an analysis of China's mining production, mineral product imports and exports, and existing issues in recent years, these chapters provide a more in-depth exploration of the mineral resource situation and mineral resource strategy for China in the early 21st century. Chapters four to seven are organized into four major categories—energy minerals, metallic minerals, non-metallic minerals, and underground water and mineral water resources—and provide detailed introductions to over 60 of China's main mineral types, including their classification, formation, distribution, reserves, major production areas, and current development status.
