Features: This textbook is written according to the newly formulated teaching syllabus. Acupuncture and Tuina are composed of acupuncture and tuina, both of which belong to non-pharmacological therapies and have many internal connections, so they are combined together. This textbook is mainly divided into three parts. The first part is the foundation of acupuncture and tuina, introducing meridians, acupoints, and commonly used tuina points. Based on the statistical analysis of several representative acupuncture works, it is found that there are approximately 100 acupoints that are commonly used. Therefore, the acupoints are divided into commonly used and supplementary parts, so that students can master the commonly used and main content within limited learning time. The commentary on commonly used acupoints briefly hints at the mechanism of action of the acupoints, which is not covered in other related textbooks. The second part is acupuncture techniques and tuina techniques, briefly introducing the commonly used clinical content. The third part is treatment, which introduces acupuncture and tuina treatments after describing the etiology, pathogenesis, and syndrome differentiation. Ancient medical masters have left us many valuable clinical experiences, and current acupuncture and tuina clinical practice and research are continuously developing. Therefore, when writing this textbook, special attention is paid to the organic combination of inheritance and development, so that it does not lose the normative nature of the textbook, maintains and carries forward the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, and reflects the latest developments in this discipline. Especially as a university-level textbook, combining the two treatments into one is unprecedented.
