Features: Marcello composed six cello sonatas, which exist in three different versions. Since Marcello's manuscripts have not been preserved, we cannot determine how much difference these versions have from his original works. The existing versions are essentially identical but provide complementary details, allowing us to carefully review them when preparing the current version. Editorial notes are clearly marked. The realization of figured bass has been simplified as much as possible, taking into account the musical function and expressive potential of the basso continuo.
