This book is the 3rd volume of "The Report Collection," divided into 4 parts: First, it elaborates on the comprehensive report on China's flood control and disaster reduction strategies; based on this, it proposes flood control and disaster reduction strategies for major rivers and lakes in China; it presents thematic research reports on the occurrence patterns, development trends, defense strategies, and the construction of urban flood control disaster reduction systems for floods, storm surges, droughts, and floods; at the same time, it conducts in-depth analysis and discussion on some outstanding issues in flood control and disaster reduction in the Yangtze and Yellow River basins. This book is of great reference value for decision-makers and technical personnel in flood control departments at all levels. The research work of the "Research on the Water Resources Strategy for Sustainable Development in China" project and the publication of "The Report Collection" have received strong support from the State Council leadership and relevant ministries and commissions.
