Features: "A History and Current State of Musicology" is a required course for the first year graduate students of the Central Conservatory of Music, which was launched in 1996. The course duration is 1 semester. From 1996 to 1998, it was held for 2 class hours per week. Starting from the 1999 academic year, the class hours were increased to 4 per week. After 4 years of practical teaching, considering that the course requires students to read a large amount of musicology literature outside of class and participate in classroom discussions, the teaching schedule was changed to two semesters with 2 class hours per week starting from September 2000.
