Caruso's vocal method: The scientific cultivation of the voice

Author: (Italian) Mario Lanza
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2001-07-01
Features: Just as this book was about to be completed, the sudden passing of this contemporary (perhaps even generational) singer, Caruso, plunged the world into sorrow. This world-renowned, beautiful, and extraordinary voice will remain silent forever. This work was dedicated to him in the last few days of his passing. It faithfully narrates his perfect and extraordinary singing. For more than fifteen years, I had the privilege of associating with this great artist, not only as a doctor but also as a close friend. His singing often guided and inspired me in my work on vocal problems and the exploration of vocal art. Through careful observation of his singing methods, I saw this master correctly applying natural laws to his vocal techniques, and I had the opportunity to test his ideas and principles, finding them consistent with the scientific aspects I have elaborated in this book. I compare this work to a simple wreath and place it before the tomb of the great artist with deep admiration and friendship.
