There was a tennis coach who asked his students, "If a tennis ball falls into a grassy pile, how should you find it?" Some answered, "Start from the center line of the grass pile." Others said, "Start from the depression in the grass pile." Still others suggested, "Start from where the grass is longer." The coach announced the correct answer: "Search methodically from one end of the grassy area to the other."
Finding the path to success is simple—just take it step by step.
Someone encountered a difficult problem and went to a temple to pray to Guanyin (the Bodhisattva of Compassion). Upon entering the temple, they discovered that someone else was also praying in front of Guanyin’s statue. The person looked exactly like Guanyin, identical in every way. The visitor asked, "Are you Guanyin?" The person replied, "I am Guanyin." The visitor then asked, "Then why are you praying to yourself?" Guanyin smiled and said, "I have also encountered difficulties, but I know that seeking others is not as effective as seeking oneself."
Dealing with difficulties is actually quite simple—don’t always rely on others; self-reliance is the key.
