Features: Since the Reform and Opening-Up, I have successively taught natural dialectics and the principles of Marxist philosophy to master's students and undergraduates at Taiyuan Institute of Machinery (now renamed North China University of Technology) and North China University of Technology. My lectures have focused on closely linking the socialist Reform and Opening-Up and the economic construction-centered reality of Chinese society, while also paying attention to understanding and absorbing the theoretical trends and research achievements of Marxist philosophy and natural dialectics in this new context. Through continuous reflection and research over a long period of teaching, I have gradually formed some insights into the relationship between natural dialectics and historical materialism. Teaching and research mutually promote each other. During my teaching, I have not only absorbed the research achievements of others but have also conducted my own research on Marxist philosophy and its natural dialectics. My research focus is on the universal structure of the material world and the structural characteristics as a universal attribute of matter, the organic unity of natural dialectics and historical materialism, and the theoretical system of natural dialectics and historical materialism based on this organic unity. I believe that since human society and nature are closely interconnected as an organic whole, as reflections of nature and human society, natural dialectics and historical materialism must also naturally be an organic whole. Research on natural dialectics or historical materialism without considering their connection with each other is incomplete and limited. Studying the internal connection between natural dialectics and historical materialism, allowing them to develop into an organic whole, is not only a need for China's socialist modernization but also a need for the development of the modern era. Most of the articles included in this book were published at different times, and from a formal perspective, they appear to be a collection of philosophical essays by the author. However, in terms of content, overall, this book is a collection of essays by the author that focuses on promoting the development of natural dialectics and historical materialism into an organic whole.
