Features: The College English Test Band 4 (CET-4) is an achievement test. Achievement tests have the advantages of strong scientific rigor in question design and high reliability and validity. However, achievement tests also have their disadvantages: many fixed question types and patterns are included in the questions. In reality, a set of examination questions is essentially a specific and revised version of these fixed question types and patterns. As long as you do a large number of practice questions and understand the question-setting patterns, it is easy to overcome the difficulties of the CET-4 exam, and many students can even often score higher than their actual abilities. The CET-4 exam is very similar to the TOEFL exam abroad, as both are achievement tests. Many Chinese students who are not very proficient in English can achieve relatively high scores after doing a certain amount of TOEFL practice questions. It is not uncommon for Chinese students to score 600 on the TOEFL exam. The same principle applies to the CET-4 exam—studying past exam papers is a shortcut.
