Features: The Wubi (Five-Stroke) input method is one of the most widely used Chinese character input methods. Although it is relatively difficult to learn, it offers fast input speed and high accuracy, making it still the preferred choice for most people. The Wubi input method was invented by Professor Wang Yongmin, so Wangmao Wubi is regarded as the authentic version! Since its inception, Wangmao Wubi has had three versions: the 86 version, the 98 version, and the 18030 version. The latest standard Wubi input method, WB18030, can input 27,533 Chinese characters. In 1980, the national standard GB231280 character set was issued, which only contained 6,763 characters. This made all of China's computer input software capable of handling only 6,763 characters, while many characters that are indispensable in different domestic and international contexts, such as , , , , , , etc., have been a long-standing problem for over 20 years: "everyone knows the code, but they can't type it out"! To adapt to the new international trend of Chinese character application and help domestic software to enter the global market more quickly, the National Technical Supervision Administration issued the extended character set GB18030-2000 on March 17, 2000. It stipulated that all Chinese software sold in China must comply with this mandatory standard, otherwise it would not be allowed to be sold. To this end, Professor Wang Yongmin spent two years conducting over a thousand experiments and adjustments, finally completing the encoding design and software product development for 27,533 characters—the standard Wubi input method 18030 version. The release of the standard Wubi input method WB-18030 has solved the long-standing problem for millions of Wubi users, marking a leap forward in Chinese character input technology from theory to application. All existing Wubi users do not need any new training, can continue to use their original encoding rules and keyboard fingerings, and can input 27,533 characters.
