To say someone is great, there is no need to deify them. Both gods and Mozart are like marble busts that can be defecated and urinated on at will. Even the immortal had joys, sorrows, and desires, and had to deal with the trivialities of ordinary life. Mozart's life was not limited to music; he was also an avid reader of political newspapers and magazines. When he was not composing, he was engaged in other social activities. This book brings a classical artist's bust back to life, making Mozart's music tangible and understandable.
