Features: Principles of Political Economy (Part on Capitalism) is a teaching material for liberal arts and finance/economics majors in colleges and universities. It was first published by Nankai University Press in 1987 and revised in 1993. To adapt to the development of China's reform and opening-up and the changing global economic landscape, and to incorporate the latest findings in economic theory research, we began revising this book again in 2000. This revision highlights the fundamental content of commodity and market economies, aiming to reveal the operating mechanisms and general laws of market economies, particularly in the section on monopoly capitalism. It attempts to apply Marxist dialectical materialism and adhere to the principle of unity of logic and history, revealing the development laws of modern capitalism through the contradictory movement of productive forces and productive relations. This revision achieves breakthroughs and innovations in theoretical frameworks and employs more novel sources. Additionally, the content of the entire book has been enriched, theoretical analysis has been deepened, and the literary narrative has been further personalized and refined.
