Features: This book is compiled in line with the spirit of the "Interim Regulations on the Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination" issued by the Ministry of Personnel, and based on the requirements of the "Trial Syllabus for the National Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination - French Translation (Intermediate Level)". It serves as a comprehensive French translation textbook. The purpose of this book is to systematically enhance students' vocabulary and grammar knowledge, as well as improve their reading comprehension and ability to distinguish between synonyms through reading and exercises. The book consists of 8 units, with 2 lessons per unit. Each lesson is divided into two main parts: text and exercises. The themes of the 8 units are successively: Sports and Entertainment, Tourism and Transportation, Politics and Society, Culture and Heritage, Education and Health, Economy and Business, Industry and Agriculture, and Science and Technology. The two texts in each unit are selected around the corresponding themes, and follow-up materials such as basic vocabulary lists, phrase lists, text annotations, and reading comprehension questions are provided. Given the broad scope of translation, the vocabulary and phrase lists will be helpful for students engaging in practical translation activities. The annotations, written in French, focus on key points within the texts to aid students in understanding the material, expanding their knowledge, and reinforcing their learning. The post-lesson exercises, designed in line with examination formats, are divided into four parts: vocabulary and grammar, reading comprehension, cloze, and composition. Among these, the reading materials, cloze, and compositions are all themed and, like the texts, utilize the most up-to-date content to broaden students' knowledge. However, considering the practical needs of exam preparation, the vocabulary and grammar exercises are independently designed. Additionally, the book includes exercise and answer guides at the end.
