Features: This book is a specialized study of Hegel's theory of legal right and social consciousness. Using Phenomenology of Spirit as the research text, the first part focuses on exploring the internal logical structure of human consciousness and different social ideologies, proposing theories related to time and historical subjectivity. The second part critically examines the interpretation of French thinker Alexandre Kojève's Phenomenology, attempting to trace a path that connects Hegel's political and legal thought with Anglo-American classical liberalism. The author argues that although Anglo-American thought and German thought indeed differ significantly in form, temperament, style, and argumentation, they are not as completely opposed as Hayek and others have suggested. In reality, there is no insurmountable gap between classical liberalism in Hume and Smith and classical liberalism in Kant and Hegel. Hegel's late philosophy of law can be said to embody the essence of Western classical liberalism or conservative liberalism, and it still holds great inspirational significance for our political theory today.
