To better grasp the new trends of the 2006 college entrance examination reform, we organized a joint writing effort by senior-level teachers, subject leaders, and experienced college entrance examination research experts from dozens of top national model high schools across the country to develop the 2006 edition of The Complete Quality High School Review Plan (including teacher and student editions), providing a scientific and comprehensive preparation plan for senior high school teachers and students. "No mistakes, innovation, and practicality" are the core design concepts of the book.
"No mistakes"—We integrated the educational resources of dozens of top-tier schools and teachers nationwide. From initial conception to final proofreading, experts oversaw every step, and renowned teachers meticulously refined the content, embedding their professionalism into every part and detail of the book. After three rounds of review and five rounds of proofreading, we further had experts and first-line senior high school teachers review and refine the content in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi, Tianjin, Beijing, Anhui, Chongqing, Liaoning, Shandong, and Sichuan. We conducted time-limited trials in over 100 key high schools and ordinary schools across urban and rural areas, promptly correcting any errors or imperfections found during review or trial use. This strives for "zero errors," ensuring readers buy with confidence, use with ease, and perform with satisfaction.
"Innovation"—The book's format is entirely derived from our first-line research with teachers and students, listening to the most authentic voices of senior high school teachers. It fully respects the actual needs of senior high school review teaching and is designed by lesson according to the examination points sequence specified in the Examination Syllabus, truly "entering the classroom" to achieve effective interaction between teaching and learning, thereby maximizing review efficiency.
"Content" is the guarantee of the book's intrinsic quality. For The Complete Quality High School Review Plan, content innovation lies more in the completeness and fluency of the ideas and processes. The review strategies designed are scientific, novel, and effective; the preparation resources provided are rich and valuable; the examples, exercises, and test questions are full of originality, closely linked to production, social life, and the latest technological and cultural developments. They focus on hot and focal issues. We organized a large number of college entrance examination question-setting experts to compile new questions that represent the trends of the reform under new backgrounds and contexts. We absorbed the latest college entrance examination true or simulated questions and new questions from professional journals, rephrased classic questions from new perspectives, accurately guiding the direction of college entrance examination review, and imbued with a strong sense of the times.
"Practicality"—Closely aligned with the actual needs of the first-round review for the college entrance examination, fully implementing the spirit of the Examination Syllabus by the Ministry of Education Examination Center to prioritize "medium-difficulty questions," focusing on solidly laying a foundation, ensuring candidates can reliably secure basic scores, and preparing them for tackling difficult questions in terms of knowledge, skills, methods, and mindset. The book always adheres to a humanistic philosophy, putting people first, and catering to readers at every turn. For example, in the Student Edition of The Complete Quality High School Review Plan, ample space is left for answering questions, supplementary one-round unit are designed for easy use and grading, and valuable preparation materials are appended at the end of the book to provide a platform for candidates to summarize and reflect on examination points.
