Features: With the continuous deepening of the reform of the personnel system for cadres and public officials, the legislative issues concerning public officials have attracted high attention from all sectors of society. As early as during the 8th and 9th sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC), the Standing Committee of the NPC had legislative intentions, but the plans were shelved due to unripe conditions. To better regulate the management of public officials, safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, strengthen supervision over them, build a high-quality team of public officials, promote diligence and integrity, and improve work efficiency, after summarizing more than 10 years of practice, the Public Official Law was finally enacted, laying a solid foundation for further improving and perfecting the public official system. As an important component of China's political system and a new achievement in the construction of the public official system, the promulgation and implementation of the Public Official Law not only filled the legislative gap but, more importantly, brought about a substantial leap in the reform of the personnel system for cadres and public officials, a crucial aspect of political system reform. To facilitate the study and understanding of the Public Official Law, comrades who have long engaged in research on the public official system and partially participated in the research and drafting of the Public Official Law have compiled this book. The book is organized in accordance with the chapters of the Public Official Law, setting up questions for each article to address the key and difficult points, providing detailed and specific answers. It includes explanations and clarifications of terms and definitions, as well as elaborations and analyses of key and difficult issues, which are very helpful for understanding and mastering the spiritual essence and main content of the Public Official Law.
