Features: "The Fish Boy": After the Opium War, imperialists occupied Chinese ports and prohibited fishermen from going out to sea to fish. The fishermen were full of grievances. An old fisherman, driven by necessity, risked crossing the blockade on a stormy night to go fishing. He fished all night but caught no fish, only a white marble fish pot painted with a fish boy. Disappointed, the old fisherman returned home and placed the fish pot on the table. At midnight, the painted fish boy jumped out of the pot and fished with a fishing rod, creating many large pearls. When the fisherman woke up, he was greatly surprised and knew it was a treasure. The next day, he sold the pearls in the market, dreaming of using the money to build a new fishing boat. However, the secret was discovered by a foreign missionary, who wanted to seize the fish pot. He colluded with the officials and had the fisherman brought to court. The foreign missionary twisted the facts and falsely claimed the fish pot was his. The local official, singing in harmony with the foreigner, forced the fisherman to return the fish pot to the missionary. Enraged, the fisherman spoke with righteous indignation, declaring that he would not let the fish pot fall into the hands of foreigners. On the spot in court, he smashed the fish pot to pieces to prevent it from being taken. At that moment, a miracle occurred—the fish boy jumped out of the fish pot again. He swung his fishing rod and caused chaos in court, throwing the foreign missionary into the sea. This book also includes stories such as "The Nine-Colored Deer," "Cao Chong Weighing an Elephant," and "Chang'e Flying to the Moon."
