Features: The China Electric Power Yearbook was first published in 1993 and has been continuously published for 10 issues. It is a professional yearbook that integrates historical facts and data, as well as a comprehensive and practical large-scale annual publication rich in text, illustrations, and tables. Its primary target audience includes personnel engaged in power production, construction, management and operation, scientific research and technology, as well as relevant government and enterprise personnel related to the power industry. The guiding philosophy for compiling this Yearbook is to focus on the reform and development of the power industry, comprehensively documenting achievements and content in various aspects such as power industry reform and development, production and operation, science and technology, and progress. This Yearbook is compiled under the guidance of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission and the China Power Enterprises Association, and is jointly written by State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, China Huaneng Group, China Datong Group, China Huadian Group, China Guodian Group, and China Power Investment Corporation. The Editorial Committee of the Yearbook is composed of key leaders from the State Electricity Regulatory Commission, the China Power Enterprises Association, State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, the five major power generation groups, China Three Gorges Yangtze River Development Company, and the four auxiliary industry groups, as well as representatives from relevant units. It serves as the leading body of the Yearbook, determining the guiding philosophy, main content, and outline for its compilation and publication. According to the guiding philosophy for compiling this issue of the Yearbook, significant adjustments have been made to its structural framework. First, new sections reflecting the new landscape of the power system after the power industry reform have been added, such as Power Workshops, Power Industry Forums, Power Regulation, and Power Enterprises. Second, the positions of some sections have been adjusted and reorganized (e.g., Annals, Power Construction and Power Production, Industry Associations, Academic Organizations), clarifying the relationships between sections and better reflecting the main themes of power industry reform and development, as well as production and operation. Third, the content of some sections has been improved, with records of major, important, and new events in 2003, enriched statistical data with rich information, reduced the of documents and regulations, and strengthened secondary processing of literature. This issue of the Yearbook primarily collects the achievements of various aspects of China's power industry in 2003, with a focus on reflecting the development of the power industry and power production in 2003. The structural framework of this issue of the Yearbook consists of 17 sections and over 100 color illustrations, divided into four levels: sections, columns, categories, and entries.
