This book is suitable for intermediate and beginner-level readers. It uses humorous short stories to connect seemingly unrelated words, allowing learners to memorize vocabulary through stories and understand usage in context. This is the learning philosophy advocated by the "Hu Min Reads Stories to Remember Words" series. Reading stories makes dull words lively and engaging, transforming monotonous learning into an enjoyable experience. It accelerates memory and boosts confidence! Since its publication, the "Read Stories" series has gained a loyal following among middle and high school students. The family of "Read Stories" continues to grow, including versions for high school, university, TOEFL, IELTS, and more, catering to students of all ages and helping them experience the remarkable effects of scientific methods.
To truly master English, relying solely on vocabulary is insufficient. One must also memorize enough phrases to construct sentences and bring English to life! "Read Stories to Remember Phrases" is the sister series to "Read Stories to Remember Words." The "Common English Phrases" selection includes middle school English phrases and everyday spoken and written expressions. The "Advanced English Phrases" collection features phrases for university majors like TEM-8, IELTS, and TOEFL, catering to advanced English exams and comprehension and expression needs. The "College English Phrases" is strictly compiled according to the College English Teaching Syllabus and includes high-frequency phrase expressions from various college English textbooks, serving as an essential reference for university students learning English.
