Features: The operating room is the place where surgical and related specialty patients undergo operations. It has always been a highly valued and closely monitored department in every hospital. The management level of the operating room, surgical nursing coordination, and professional standards directly impact the success of surgeries. Especially with the continuous development of modern medicine, advancements in surgical techniques, anesthesia methods, equipment, and surgical instruments have been rapid, placing even greater demands on nurses to improve their operating room management skills and technical expertise. In this context, there is an urgent need for a comprehensive and systematic book that introduces operating room management and coordination for various specialties.
In light of this, we have invited experienced nursing experts from influential hospitals across the country to compile this "Practical Handbook of Surgical Coordination," serving as a reference for operating room nurses at all levels of hospitals. The "Practical Handbook of Surgical Coordination" is a series of large-scale reference books, including seven volumes: "Operating Room Nursing Management," "Surgical Coordination for General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery," "Surgical Coordination for Orthopedics," "Surgical Coordination for Cardiothoracic Surgery and Neurosurgery," "Surgical Coordination for Urology, Gynecology, Plastic Surgery, and Burn Surgery," "Surgical Coordination for Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, and Maxillofacial Surgery," and "Practical Handbook of Surgical Instruments for Nurses."
The content of the entire series is comprehensive, rich, and up-to-date, reflecting the concept of holistic nursing while highlighting the characteristics of the operating room. It closely integrates basic surgeries with newly developed ones, elaborating on key points of surgical coordination in a clear, well-organized, and standardized manner, fully demonstrating the advanced level of domestic surgical practices. The authors have integrated the management knowledge and professional skills that modern operating room specialists must master throughout the book, striving for practicality and close alignment with clinical needs to cultivate qualified operating room specialists.
The entire book is divided into four sections: Urology (10 chapters), Gynecology (8 chapters), Plastic Surgery (12 chapters), and Burn Surgery (10 chapters). It introduces the anatomy applied in surgical coordination in the operating room, various anesthesia methods, surgical indications, and surgical positions, with a focus on surgical coordination and precautions. Based on the accumulated practical experience of nurses in clinical practice and the review of relevant medical literature at home and abroad, this practical reference book is primarily focused on surgical coordination, aiming to provide concrete and practical knowledge. We hope that through learning, all colleagues can gain practical insights.
