Economic History of Northern China

Author: Cheng Minsheng
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2004-12-01
Features: This book is a history of the northern economy with the evolution of the economic center of the north as its main theme. The north is relatively the south, and when it comes to the north and the south, the topic might as well start from the geological era. Looking at the study of the evolution of the economic center of ancient China in this book, it can be summarized in seven words: breaking, establishing, and absorbing. Breaking refers to refuting the views of various schools, pointing out their shortcomings, and even recalculating previously published statistics to arrive at new data. Establishing refers to the author forming a complete theory on the evolution of the southern beginning, turning point, and completion of the economic center of ancient northern China. Absorbing refers to absorbing the reasonable components of various schools when refuting the different theories of the southward shift of the economic center in ancient China. Since the research scope of this book far exceeds the issue of the movement of the economic center of the north, and the study of the northern economy delves into various fields of the northern economy, it is relatively appropriate to name this book "A History of the Northern Economy of China." Of course, using "The Transfer and Evolution of the Economic Center" as a subtitle is also consistent with the name and reality.
