Features: We cannot say that this is a perfect, mature textbook for financial planners. However, we can say that it is the first set of localized financial planner textbooks in China, developed under the guidance of the International CFP Council, mobilizing global Chinese experts, and through the collaborative effort of professors from the Graduate School of the People's Bank of China, Peking University, and Tsinghua University. This is unprecedented, and therefore, its originality will be evident. This series of textbooks is the only textbook designated by the China Financial Planners Standard Committee for establishing the qualification certification system for Chinese financial planners, organizing the CFP examination, and providing training. It was jointly compiled and published by the China Financial Planners Standard Committee, bringing together the most authoritative and professional experts in the field of personal finance in China. The CFP stands for Certified Financial Planner. It is a level qualification certificate issued by the CFP Standard Committee in each country to professionals who have completed the required training, possess the necessary work experience, and have passed the examination. The China Financial Planners Standard Committee, established in September 2004, proposed the request to join the International CFP Council. In its early stages, a key task of the committee was to establish the examination system, train examiners, and prepare the training for the first batch of financial planners in China who fully met the international CFP requirements. On November 1 and November 15 of this year, the training for Chinese financial planners, guided by the International CFP Council, will officially begin. The 120 industry elites from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and 60 from Bank of China, who will participate in this training, were selected through rigorous examinations from over a thousand applicants. They will undergo a 240-hour, full-board learning program. To prepare for this training, the preparatory team of the standard committee had engaged the Graduate School of the People's Bank of China, Peking University, and Tsinghua University to organize the effort as early as the beginning of the year. After more than half a year of preparation, the textbooks, divided into five modules and over 2 million words, will be launched by CITIC Press in November.
