Features: The Yellow Emperor's Four Classics is a collective name for four ancient lost texts copied before the Laozi (Book Yi) scroll unearthed from the Han Tomb No. 3 at Mawangdui in Changsha in late 1973. These texts are Jingfa (The Canon of Methods), Jing (The Canon), Cheng (The Method of Mutual Response), and Daoyuan (The Origin of the Way). Mr. Tang Lan believed that these four ancient texts, from a content perspective, form a single book, while from a methodological perspective, they largely inherit and elaborate on the teachings of Laozi. They are considered to represent the thought of the Huanglao school within Taoism. The Tao De Jing, also known as Laozi, is the foundational work of the Taoist school. Its author, Laozi, is not only widely recognized as the founder of the Taoist school but also revered by Taoism as the Ancestor of the Way and the Celestial Lord. It can be said that Laozi and his Tao De Jing are an inexhaustible source of Chinese culture.
