Let us once again gaze upon these soldiers from over 2,000 years ago. They once created the largest empire in the world at that time and shaped our history. Today, the characters we use come from the Qin people, our vast territory is the continuation of the Qin Empire, and our unified Chinese nation began to form during the Qin Empire. That great empire from over 2,000 years ago still connects with us by blood. The large documentary The Resurrected Army had a wide impact in 2004. Based on this, this book delves into historical facts and creates in-depth content, greatly enriching the documentary's material while unlocking the following mysteries one by one: Why were the Qin people, born on the northern plateau, able to unify China? What kind of weapons did the Qin army use? Why did the Qin army fight so fiercely? Over 2,000 years ago, on a battlefront spanning thousands of kilometers north and south, what did they rely on to complete logistics and transportation tasks? A country with a population of over 5 million having an army of 1 million—how did the Qin people's national strength support this? The Qin people's fighting spirit endured for 500 years without weakening, yet why did the empire collapse in just three years after Qin Shi Huang's death? The publications of Zhonghua Book Company have always been renowned for their rigor, and this book naturally differs from the various "sensationalized" and "pieced-together" historical books of the present day.
