Author: Jointly compiled by the Central Archives, the Second Historical Archives of China, and others
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2004-06-01
Features: This book is a collection of archival materials. Although the Japanese imperialists, upon their defeat and surrender, burned most of their archival materials in China to destroy evidence of their crimes, materials documenting their atrocities still exist in large quantities. This makes it possible for us to dedicate this book to the readers. However, due to our limited resources, this book can only be presented as a "selection." To facilitate reader use, the book is organized into thematic volumes, with dedicated volumes on the "September 18th Incident," the North China Incident, the puppet Manchukuo and Wang Jingwei regime, the repeated major atrocities in Northeast China, the fascist rule of the Manchukuo police and constitution, the Great Scourge in North China, the atrocities of the Japanese army in various places, biological warfare, and economic plunder. The facts reflected in the selected archival materials are mostly events that occurred between 1931 and 1945. The book was collectively edited by the editorial team, with each volume assigned to a dedicated editor. The editing and publication of this book received support and guidance from all sides, and many archival departments provided strong support in terms of archival materials.
