Features: Since its publication in 1984, "Dictionary of Foreign Music Performance Terms" has been well-received by readers. To meet the needs of a broader audience, this book has been revised. The revision includes enhancing some entries and correcting a few, but primarily focuses on the addition of phonetic annotations. As early as the beginning of the book's compilation, some members of the editorial team proposed the idea of adding phonetic annotations. However, due to time constraints, it was not implemented. After the book's publication, feedback from readers was continuously received. Therefore, this revision provides the opportunity to add phonetic annotations. During this process, opinions from various parties were incorporated, and based on practical needs, only French and Spanish entries are annotated. English entries are not annotated (as it is considered that most Chinese readers have access to English-Chinese dictionaries and have more exposure to the language). Additionally, Italian and German pronunciation patterns are relatively fixed, so only pronunciation tables for these two languages have been added, allowing readers to pronounce them according to the tables. For other languages with very few entries, phonetic annotations are not provided.
