Features: This book is the research outcome of the major project "The Great Challenges and Strategic Countermeasures of Economic Globalization to China's Foreign Trade" by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The concept of the project and the guiding ideology of this book aim to explore the hot issues in the process of economic globalization, rather than conducting a comprehensive study of this issue. This is an ongoing process, one that is gradually unfolding and involves many problems and uncertainties. A scientific attitude holds that before a socio-economic process fully reveals its potential, it is more important to describe and observe it than to summarize it. Based on this guiding ideology, the development of the project and the structure of the book are as follows:
Chapter 1, titled "Economic Globalization and Foreign Trade Competitiveness," explores the connotation of economic globalization and China's foreign trade competitiveness.
Chapter 2, titled "Economic Globalization and International Value," discusses the redefinition of international value in the context of economic globalization, the foundational role of Marxist value theory and international value theory in the trend of economic globalization, and their decisive influence on determining international economic and trade relations.
Chapter 3, titled "Coordination of Trade Policies under the Background of Economic Globalization," examines the changes in the international trade competition landscape and the fundamental positioning of trade policies.
Chapter 4, titled "The Relationship Between Economic Globalization and Regional Trade," explores the institutional framework of regional trade arrangements, the development pattern under globalization, and China's relevant policy stance.
Chapter 5, titled "Economic Globalization and the Relationship Between Foreign Direct Investment and Trade," discusses the interactive relationship between two key variables in international economic relations—direct investment and trade.
Chapter 6 specifically addresses China's high-tech product trade issues, touching on the field of human resources in high-tech products, which has been relatively less explored by previous researchers.
Chapter 7 specifically examines the globalization of emerging trade methods, such as e-commerce, revealing the role and significance of online information platforms in international economic and trade connections under economic globalization.
Chapter 8 specifically analyzes economic friction in globalization and China's position in these frictions.
Chapter 9 specifically explores the development of China's service trade, summarizing the four major trends in global service trade and China's development strategies.
Chapter 10 specifically discusses China's main trading partner countries, hoping to describe the outline of China's trade model based on its trade relationships with important trading partners such as Japan, the United States, and Europe.
