Features: Li Zhiwei is one of the few versatile writers in children's literature, much like the series of books we are facing. He can describe the same protagonist's stories in different genres such as novels, fairy tales, and science fiction. Although he effortlessly and casually moves between various genres, I believe he has never lost sight of the sanctity of literature or the strictness of his own creative attitude. He simply wants to infuse a spirit of playfulness into his works, giving children genuine joy and true freedom. Perhaps he is too eager to express his literary ideals and beliefs, to the point where people don’t have time to consider the moral and social values beyond the lightness and humor of his works. Maybe because he is immersed in communicating and playing with children, or perhaps he is lost in the world of self-expression and self-creation, that he even neglects the pursuit of higher levels of refinement and precision. This oversight is akin to children, too focused on playing, not noticing the dust and mud on their bodies. This flaw is an endearing quality. His passion and inspiration leave him no time to rest, so immortal works are not his ideal—what matters is that children enjoy his stories. However, he is absolutely not the type of writer who stagnates, clings to the old ways, or is arrogant. Therefore, he won’t walk down one path to the end, nor will he squander his talent completely. Playfulness is the nature of children, and his obsession with computer games is even more childlike than that of children. He watches cartoons, is fond of science fiction—it aligns perfectly with the habits and interests of modern children. This love and habit attract a large number of readers, and the little ants on his website are the best proof. His works show meticulous and thoughtful care for children. This can be said to be the characteristic of all his works.
