Features: Chen Yupu, a native of Licheng, Shandong, was born in 1946. In his youth, he became a disciple under the tutelage of Bai He Long and Chen Wei Xin. He graduated as a postgraduate in Chinese painting from the Guangxi Art College, with Professor Huang Du Feng, a renowned Lingnan artist, as his supervisor. Chen Yupu excels in landscape and flower-and-bird painting, and occasionally creates simple-line figure works. His artistic philosophy is deeply influenced by the teachings of Laozi and Buddhism, advocating for a pursuit of nature and upholding the principle of "the way of painting is non-action." His style is simple and unadorned, avoiding excessive refinement. Chen Yupu has long been engaged in art education, teaching successively at Qufu Normal University in Shandong, Guangxi Art College, and Guangxi Normal University. He is currently a professor and master's supervisor at the Department of Oriental Art, School of Liberal Arts, Nankai University, and a member of the China Artists Association. He has published works such as "Chen Yupu Paintings," "Chen Yupu Ink Paintings," "Chen Yupu Landscape Paintings," "Painting Principles," and is included in collections like "Modern Landscape Paintings."
