Features: A History of Foreign Education is a textbook compiled for our Education Department. In 1979, the entire group of the Foreign Education History section of our department's Education History Teaching and Research Office printed the Draft of A History of Foreign Education as a self-used textbook for our university. Based on years of teaching practice, we summarized the book and studied and absorbed new achievements in scientific research of this discipline, as well as valuable suggestions from professional workers in various regions and. On this basis, we recompiled this book and officially published it. The book is divided into four parts and published in two volumes. The first volume includes Education in Ancient and Medieval Times (Part I) and Education in the Period of Free Capitalism (Part II), totaling seven chapters. The second volume includes Education of the Bourgeoisie in the Imperialist Period (Part III) and the Development of Soviet Education (Part IV), totaling five chapters. The chapter structure and basic content of the book were jointly discussed by the compilers and written separately.
