Features: The Financial English Certificate Test (FECT) is the first national-level industry-specific English certificate examination system established by the People's Bank of China and the former Ministry of Education in 1994. It includes two levels: (Basic) and (Intermediate). This examination system provides a good standard for assessing the comprehensive English proficiency of financial professionals and also offers a learning goal and evaluation method for those aspiring to work in the financial industry. The Basic Level exam consists of one subject: 《Modern Banking Business》；the Intermediate Level exam includes four subjects: 《Economics》, 《Banking Business》, 《Accounting》, and 《Law》。
To assist candidates in preparing for the exam, we have invited university teachers and relevant personnel with extensive experience in pre-examination tutoring to compile a series of FECT exam preparation books, each corresponding to the English textbook and published as separate volumes. The content of these preparation books includes:
For the Basic Level: vocabulary, annotations on difficult sentences, reference translations of texts, exercise questions with answers, as well as mock tests with answers. The books come with 2 audio CDs.
For the Intermediate Level: professional vocabulary, background knowledge introductions, reference translations of texts, exercise questions with answers, mock tests with answers.
The professional vocabulary section saves candidates the time of looking up dictionaries; the background knowledge introductions help candidates accumulate necessary professional knowledge to deepen their understanding of the texts; the reference translations assist candidates in verifying their comprehension of the original texts and resolving doubts promptly; the post-lesson exercises and answers allow candidates to test their acquired knowledge and mastery, making them highly valuable for reference; and the mock tests help candidates prepare for the exam.
Since the release of the five FECT exam preparation guidebooks, they have been warmly welcomed by a large number of candidates. To meet the needs of readers and further enrich the variety of the series, we have, based on our accumulated experience, engaged experienced teachers from pre-examination tutoring classes to compile 《Full Mock Tests for the Financial English Certificate Test (Basic Level)》 and 《Full Mock Tests for the Financial English Certificate Test (Intermediate Level)》, enabling candidates to conduct comprehensive self-assessments before the exam.
