Features: "Automatic Control Theory" is a crucial technical foundation course for electrical engineering majors. Vocational and technical colleges and adult education institutions have long been using undergraduate textbooks for this course. However, the talent cultivation models and teaching systems of vocational and technical colleges and adult education institutions differ significantly from those of undergraduate institutions, and the students' foundational knowledge also varies. Therefore, in line with the spirit of the Ministry of Education's "Opinions on Strengthening Vocational and Technical Education," we organized teachers who have long been teaching "Automatic Control Theory" in vocational and technical colleges to write this book. Based on a thorough study and careful analysis of the characteristics of 21st-century vocational and technical education models and teaching systems, and considering the actual conditions of the students, this book introduces the basic concepts, theories, and analytical methods of classical control theory. It also guides students to think deeply through the analysis of some control examples. The book consists of seven chapters and has the following features: (1) Tailored to the characteristics of vocational and technical education, the book emphasizes the connection between theory and practice, focusing on cultivating students' ability to correctly apply formulas and conclusions, while reducing the theoretical derivation process of formulas and conclusions; (2) Theoretical explanations start from an applied perspective, clearly explaining the origins and developments of key content, making auxiliary content easily understandable, ensuring accurate concepts, clear organization, and concise language; (3) The examples selected for the book are typical, concise, and convincing, with an emphasis on practical applications; (4) All contributors to this book are teachers who have long been teaching "Automatic Control Theory" in vocational and technical colleges. They are familiar with the teaching syllabus and possess extensive experience, aiming to help students master basic control theory, become proficient in the fundamental methods of analyzing control systems, and apply typical control theories to analyze practical control objects. This book, written collaboratively by several teachers who have long been teaching "Automatic Control Theory" in vocational and technical colleges, is a teaching material suitable for 21st-century vocational and technical students. It introduces the basic concepts, theories, and analytical methods of classical control theory, with a focus on analysis through control examples. The book consists of seven chapters, covering: an overview of automatic control systems, mathematical models of control systems, time-domain analysis, root locus methods, frequency-domain analysis, control system compensation, and sampled control systems. This book can be used as a teaching material for electrical technology, automation, mechatronics, instrumentation and detection, and power engineering majors in vocational and technical colleges and adult education institutions.
