A nourishing homemade soup with the rich flavor of pork bones, the stomach-soothing goodness of yam, the natural sweetness of corn, and plenty of nutrients.
Ingredients:Pork bones、Chinese yam (or regular yam)、Corn、Carrot、Coix seed (job's tears)、Ginger、Salt
Instructions:
1、Blanch the pork bones in boiling water, then rinse and set aside.
2、Blanch the yam briefly and set aside.
3、Cut the carrot and corn into large chunks, and slice two pieces of ginger.
4、Place the pork bones, carrot, corn, coix seeds, and ginger into the rice cooker (or slow cooker). Add enough water. (Hold the yam aside – add it later.)
5、Set the cooker to the "Soup" mode (default 2 hours).
6、After 1 hour and 30 minutes of cooking, add the yam to the pot and continue cooking for the remaining 30 minutes.
7、Once done, season with salt to taste. Serve warm.
