Hunting and Tourism on the Tibetan Plateau: A Geological Exploration Journal of Tibet: A Geological Exploration Journal of Tibet

Author: Henry Haydon

Publish Date: 2002-09-01
Features: This book recounts a journey through various parts of Tibet in 1922, undertaken with M. Seize Kausen. Although written by me, half of the basic material is based on my own diary, and the other half—if not a larger proportion—is based on the diary kept by M. Seize Kausen during the trip. Therefore, this work is essentially a collaborative effort, and both of our names should be credited. Of course, the inevitable omissions and shortcomings are naturally my sole responsibility. This book is a travelogue written by a British geologist in the 1920s who traveled to the heart of Tibet. It provides a detailed record of the author's observations along the route, including the terrain, natural climate, wildlife, and vegetation changes with altitude and climate. It also describes the unique customs and local culture encountered in Tibet.
