From 1960 to 1966, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he was taught by Professor Henry Tomaszewski and specialized in poster design. He has been engaged in poster, book, logo, and illustration design. He is currently a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He has served as a judge for the following international poster and illustration competitions: Warsaw (1988, 2000), Sofia (1998), Belgrade (1999), Moscow (2000), Mexico (2000), and the international jury for the 1999 Paris E.S.A.G. graduation competition.
