Features: In recent years, the question formats of the Japanese Proficiency Test (JLPT) listening section have evolved from simple to complex, from general to detailed, and from rough listening to in-depth analysis. The number of words beyond the syllabus, especially those in parallel constructions, has increased. There has been a rise in questions requiring comprehension and accuracy of detailed statements. The selection of questions has become more similar, the differentiation in diagrams has decreased, and the difficulty of judgment has increased. Currently, some candidates with three to four years of Japanese study in professional settings achieve average scores of only 50-60 in the Level 1 listening test, while general non-professional examinees perform even worse. Clearly, the listening test has become a major challenge for examinees. This series is not an academic monograph on Japanese grammar but a set of targeted grammar guides for the Japanese Proficiency Test. It compiles the insights from the authors' daily teaching experiences, providing accurate and detailed explanations of frequently occurring grammatical phenomena in the JLPT, supported by example sentences. The purpose of this series is to explain and differentiate grammatical phenomena found in exam questions across levels, enabling candidates to systematically master the necessary grammatical structures, sentence patterns, and vocabulary for their respective levels in a relatively short period.
