This book is compiled based on the newly promulgated relevant laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China in 2001, including the Regulations on the Administration of Drugs of the People's Republic of China, the Detailed Implementation Rules for the Good Manufacturing Practice of Drug Quality Management, and the Provisional Regulations on the Establishment of Retail Pharmacies. It summarizes practical experience in running a pharmacy and primarily addresses issues related to store planning and pharmacy management. The book introduces rules, operational strategies, and basic pharmaceutical knowledge in drug management. It also provides descriptions of 1,037 commonly used drugs, including 605 prescription Western medicines, 108 traditional Chinese medicines, 164 over-the-counter Western medicines, and 160 traditional Chinese patent medicines. The over-the-counter medicine section is compiled based on the National Over-the-Counter Medicine Catalogue (Batch) to meet readers' needs for quick reference in their work.
The appendices of this book summarize current and upcoming pharmaceutical policies and regulations related to pharmacy management, as well as the acceptance standards for issuing and renewing the Business License for Drug Trading Enterprises, the National Basic Medical Insurance Drug Catalogue, dosage and extreme value tables for special drugs, and English labels on imported drug packaging, all of which are available for easy reference and urgent needs.
