Features: This is a novel that shocks readers while making them laugh. The protagonist, You Shuguang, suffers the immense humiliation of his wife Bai Meili and Liang Deming's adultery, followed by a 20-year sentence for "treason." After his release, his various experiences make him utterly ashamed. After obtaining the family heirloom secret recipe "Three Whips Pill," a long-term revenge plan begins to unfold step by step. The plan involves Wan Xiaogei, who attempted suicide due to impotence but later becomes a "hero"; Zhu Dada, a drug dealer; Huang Professor, who is full of dirty jokes; and Liang Deming, who is both virtuous and evil. The two women—Bai Meili and Xia Shilin—one betrays her husband to the very end, ultimately dying for her lover; the other is usually flirtatious but remains fearless in the face of danger. These characters vividly reflect the typical behavior and mindset of contemporary people. Linked closely to the storyline is another world—the more moving world of wolves. Their attitudes toward their own kind and humans profoundly reveal the essential similarities and differences between human nature and animal nature. In the moment the protagonist, You Shuguang, kneels before the wolves, deeply repenting and taking his own life with a gunshot, any words used to describe this scene seem insufficient.
