Features: A great era calls for great figures. There are humble, unassuming heroes whose virtues would make even Alexander the Great seem overshadowed. The protagonist of this book is an ordinary person who does not believe he holds any significance in the history of this great new era. He humbly walks his own path, undisturbed by anyone, and no journalists come to disturb him, asking for an interview. If you were to ask him his name, he would reply in a simple, humble tone: "I am ?vejk." Indeed, this silent, unassuming, and poorly dressed man is our good soldier ?vejk.
