Features: In this book, D. Kortz systematically compares and analyzes three typical economic models in the contemporary capitalist world from the perspective of summarizing the past and looking toward the future, using the developed capitalist countries of the United States, Germany, Sweden, and Japan, as well as the newly industrialized countries or regions in Asia as case studies for detailed arguments. Additionally, the book refutes various differing viewpoints on issues such as the influence of labor unions, labor social security rights, the significance of education, training, and culture, corporate organizational structures, and the role of government. Perhaps these questions will never find a definitive answer, as everything must change with time and place, but the thoughts and viewpoints expressed by the author in the book are still very clear, and it is believed that readers will receive much beneficial inspiration. The book consists of eight chapters, divided into three parts. Chapter 1 is an introduction, mainly introducing the pattern of post-war capitalist economic development, three representative capitalist models, and several issues to be noted when conducting research in this field. Part 2 includes two chapters, mainly reviewing representative arguments on capitalist models. The second part has four chapters, focusing on explaining and proving issues such as the influence of labor unions and labor social security, education, training and culture, capital organization, and the role of government in economic growth. The third part includes the final chapter, summarizing the issues discussed in the book.
