Features: 《The Diplomat》 is a large-scale series of illustrated books published by the World Knowledge Publishing House, featuring a harmonious blend of text and images. It is dedicated to showcasing meaningful, interesting, and story-rich old photographs and recent memories cherished by diplomats and other foreign affairs workers, along with accompanying articles written around the photos. Over the past half-century, significant changes have occurred in international and domestic situations, as well as in China's foreign policies and relations, including the situation on the Korean Peninsula and China-US relations. However, China has always remained a nation that upholds multilateralism and peace. This book was published on July 27, 2003, the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement. To commemorate this historically significant day, many former comrades took up their pens in a relatively short time to express their sentiments and donate photographs they had treasured for years. The twenty or so recollections and old photographs collected in this book are but a few droplets from the early days of diplomatic efforts in New China.
