Features: This book, Interpretive Studies on Language Teaching, primarily focuses on the understanding and interpretation of teaching texts, especially literary texts, and thus mainly draws upon and applies the theoretical methods of literary hermeneutics. Contemporary literary hermeneutics, which has a significant influence today, has a very close relationship with the long-standing philosophical hermeneutics of the West. In recent years, hermeneutics has undergone the development process represented by "epistemological hermeneutics" by Schleiermacher, "methodological hermeneutics" by Dilthey, and "ontological hermeneutics" by Heidegger and Gadamer, i.e., hermeneutics has advanced from an epistemological and methodological level to an ontological one. Due to this philosophical level leap, hermeneutics has expanded into its various branches and subfields, also giving rise to the cross-disciplinary and marginal literary hermeneutics. The field of language teaching hermeneutics that we are intensively researching applies the theoretical methods of literary hermeneutics to explore the principles of interpreting language teaching texts. It views the understanding of the subject as an aesthetic generation process of textual meaning and regards the reader's interpretation as an activity of seeking and self-understanding, i.e., it both constructs the meaning of the text and constructs the self-world.
