Ritual Records of the Zhou Dynasty: A Popular Library of Classical Masterpieces

Features: The "Three Rites" refer to the Rites of Zhou, Rites of Rites, and Rites of the School. The Rites of Zhou is a work that discusses the establishment of a state and the appointment of officials, preserving a large amount of pre-Qin historical materials. The Rites of Rites has ancient origins and a broad scope, retaining rich historical records of China's ancient society. The Rites of the School was recorded by Confucius's disciples and later scholars, covering philosophical thoughts, ritual laws, and Confucius's original ideas on rites. At the end of this article, I would like to say: the era when ritual education killed people has long passed. Revivalism is not only outdated and ridiculous but also detestable. However, the Three Rites have their own essence. The entire Three Rites are highly important for studying the history of a nation renowned for its rites, while their essence is also sufficient for drawing lessons to heal societal wounds. I hope this edited version of the Three Rites is beneficial to society and its readers. If there are any merits in the punctuation and annotations, it is due to the teachings and inspirations of Professor Shen and other senior masters.
