Features: Broadly speaking, contemporary and modern sketching can be summarized into several categories in terms of expressive forms, such as "representational realism," "representational expression," "abstract expression," and "new concepts (ideas)." However, the distinctions between these sketching languages are not always clear-cut, and many artists often create in multiple styles, even blending various techniques within a single work. "Realism" and "expressionism" often permeate each other, often serving as means and purposes. As for "new concepts (ideas)," the scope for exploration is even broader. The author has simply selected and organized some materials based on the overall language tendencies of specific works, without any intention of favoring foreign art. The tradition of representational realism sketching since the Renaissance has been vast and extensive, far beyond the scope of this book. In this volume, in addition to a few recognized contemporary masters, the author has focused on selecting works by other contemporary sketch artists who may not be as well-known.
